One of the world’s leading and most charismatic guitarists, Tali Roth is Chairman of The Juilliard School Pre-College Guitar program and serves as an adjunct professor on the faculty of New York University. Since her Carnegie Hall debut, Ms. Roth has performed as soloist throughout the United States, Canada, Europe, Latin America, Japan and her native Israel.

Ms. Roth has been hailed by Classical Guitar magazine as “an extraordinary solo and chamber musician,” and has performed with flutist Carol Wincenc and members of the New York Philharmonic. She also has an extensive, globe-spanning history of collaborations with dance ensembles, including Douglas Dunn & Dancers (New York City), Glamourtango (Uruguay), Flamenco Komatsubara (Tokyo) and Silvia Duran Spanish Dance Company (Israel).

Outside of the concert hall, Ms. Roth has performed onstage in the New York City Off-Broadway production of Nobel Prize Laureate Derek Walcott’s The Odyssey. She was also invited to perform for a United Nations gathering in Washington, D.C., a private event that included among its dignitaries former Prime Minister Shimon Peres, then–Prime Minister Ehud Barak and General Colin Powell. Most recently, she provided all of the classical guitar music for the sound track of Woody Allen’s 2010 film, You Will Meet a Tall Dark Stranger.

Ms. Roth holds a Bachelor’s degree from Israel’s Rubin Academy of Music (now The Jerusalem Academy of Music and Dance) and a Master of Music degree from The Juilliard School. She won Top Prize in all categories at the Twenty-Third Masterplayers Music and Conductors Competition in Switzerland, as well as the New York Artist International Competition Award. Herself a devoted and inspiring teacher, Ms. Roth has conducted masterclasses throughout the world and taught at the Aspen Music Festival.
