Boyd Meets Girl pairs Australian classical guitarist Rupert Boyd with American cellist Laura Metcalf, in an ensemble that performs a diverse and enthralling mix of works from the baroque through modern day.

Both respected soloists in their own right, Boyd has been recognised by The Washington Post as “truly evocative”, and by Classical Guitar magazine as “a player who deserves to be heard”, while Metcalf’s playing has been described as “brilliant” by Gramophone, and she has been called “a cellist whose passion for music is as evident as her artistry and talent” by I Care If You Listen.

Boyd Meets Girl has performed concerts throughout the United States, Australia, India and Nepal. Their debut recording will be released in 2017 and incudes works by J.S. Bach, Astor Piazzolla, Manuel de Falla, the Australian composer Ross Edwards, and a number of arrangements by the duo of their favourite works from the classical music canon.

The duo, a happily married couple, lives in New York City.
