Classical guitarists Iren Arutyunyan and Sofia Gleeson have combined their talents to form the LeChic Guitar Duo. Iren and Sofia met studying guitar at the Flora L. Thornton School of Music at the University of Southern California in 2009, and went on to officially form this cutting-edge duo in 2010. Receiving instruction from such names as Scott Tennant, William Kanengiser, Martha Masters, Brian Head, and Pepe Romero, the LeChic Duo has flourished since its founding.

The LeChic Duo was chosen to participate in a live taping at Guitar Salon International in late 2011, which led to their performance at the 2012 National Association for Music Manufacturers Convention in Anaheim, California. Since then, LeChic has represented Cordoba Guitars in a promotional capacity, and took part in the Melodee Music Acoustifest XIII in Sterling, Virginia. Iren and Sofia were named official artist representatives of the Cordoba label in 2012.

Sofia Gleeson is a recent graduate of the Flora L. Thornton School of Music at the University of Southern California, where she was a Trustee Scholar. She studied with Scott Tennant, a founder of the Grammy-winning Los Angeles Guitar Quartet. Sofia has performed in masterclasses with Sergio Assad, Roland Dyens, Antigoni Goni, Pepe Romero, Raphaella Smits, and others. Prior to USC, Sofia earned a Young Artist Certificate at the San Francisco Conservatory of Music Preparatory Division, where for five years she studied with Scott Cmiel, named in Classical Guitar magazine as one of the top teachers of young people in the United States. In 2010 and 2012 she performed in concert in San Jose, CA, at the Theatre on San Pedro Square. In 2008 Sofia was a finalist in the California American String Teachers Association Solo Competition, and the Mondavi Center Young Artists Competition. Sofia was chosen to perform at the Junior Bach Festival in Berkeley, CA from 2006 to 2009, and in 2006 was invited to solo at the San Francisco Performances Guitar Journeys concert with Antigoni Goni at Herbst Theater.

Iren Arutyunyan began studying classical guitar at the age of seven under the instruction of her father. She holds Bachelors and Masters Degree in Music from the University of Southern California, and is the winner of several guitar competitions. Iren has participated in masterclasses with Brian Head, Pepe and Angel Romero, David Russell, and Paul Galbraith. In 2011 Iren was featured as a YouTube soloist for Guitar Salon International; the videos acquired over twenty thousand views. From 2010 to 2012, Iren led an afterschool music program for Youth Policy Institute, a non-profit organization dedicated to providing academic assistance and enrichment activities to empower youth. Iren continues to perform and teach extensively in Southern California.
