The New York City Guitar Orchestra, now in its fourth exciting season, is a unique community organization with a mission to build the repertoire for this wonderful type of ensemble while providing great performances and an engaging and social musical experience for orchestra members and audiences alike. Our ambitious commissioning program has produced works from composers who range from the world of film scoring to the avante garde — as well as the guitarist of the B-52s — all made possible by a generous grant from The Augustine Foundation. The orchestra is a project of the New York City Classical Guitar Society. For more information, or to join, visit nyccgs.com/orchestra.
